Steve Miller

A business development veteran with over twenty five years experience, Steve began his sports and entertainment marketing career as a community outreach intern with the San Diego-based Holiday Bowl. He has held management positions with franchises in the National Football League, Major Indoor Soccer League, American Hockey League, and Major League Rugby, the last two as part of new team launches. Steve has participated in the start-up of a Hispanic sports broadcasting rights holder and managed regional sales for a global entertainment conglomerate. He also has an extensive cause marketing background having worked with numerous sports and entertainment-centric 501(c)3s. Steve’s entertainment sales and marketing experience spans professional football, soccer, baseball, hockey, boxing, rugby, as well as collegiate wrestling and football, and live music.

Steve has brokered corporate partnership, endorsement, hospitality, and cause marketing opportunities on behalf of individual professional athletes, their non-profit foundations, teams, venues, events, promoters, brands, and other property rights holders totaling in excess of $75M. He has worked both sides of the negotiating table, having represented or consulted with both the properties that provide as well as the brands that seek sports, entertainment and cause marketing partnerships.

His skill set includes promotional partnership asset identification and monetization, venue and event presenting rights development and strategic solicitation, made-for- TV event execution, digital media content sponsorship, name-image-likeness monetization, onsite retail partner activation, corporate hospitality event management, experiential marketing rights development, and digital and mobile media marketing rights development.

Steve cites the opportunity to deliver partnership revenue that helps fund an array of worthy cause marketing initiatives as the most gratifying component of his business development career.
